My trip to Canberra

Untitled, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

My online Ravelry friends and I decided to go on a roadtrip to Canberra for the OBDM. I was hesitant to go on a trip with a bunch of people that I didn't really know that well. But boy am I glad I went! I had a blast and the weekend went soooooo quickly. A full yarny weekend full of knitting, sharing, buying, eating and more knitting. Love you ladies!!

Tigerlily cardigan

Tigerlily cardigan, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.
Oh, and I must show you my mother's day present I got today. I picked it out myself. I've been looking for an oversized aztec printed cardy for a while. This was a bit more than I was willing to pay so I put it on layby. Hubby picked it up for me for mother's day. Perfect for this wintery weather.

You can find it here.

Well, the bug has bitten me again. A MUST HAVE project. And with the weather cooling down, this is the perfect thing. Robin. I'm using Wollmeise DK in schwarz and natur. Original, I know. But I really like the idea of having a black and white jumper! No, I don't barrack for the Pies.

Viajante

The Viajante seems to be the in thing at the moment. It was released in February 2013 and there are already over 900 projects loaded in Ravelry two months later. At €3.60 for the pattern, that's not a bad return for Martina Behm. But I could not stomach all that stockinette in lace! So I put it up on WWFY to be made in Wollmeise Natur Lace Garn and I paid the knitter with Wollmeise Ebenholz Lace Garn.

Wow, what a piece. Ingenious! I have put a collage up of all the different ways I would wear it. It's kind of a gigantic cowl / poncho thingy.

What do you think?

Irish Coffee

The bug has bitten me again. Where all things on sticks get put aside to stay monogomous to my one true love. This is it for me. Irish Coffee. I ordered some Cascade 220 in Straw specifically for it and it's awesome. So soft and the colour is amazing with hints of red. I'm actually much further along now, into the final waist increases. Best thing about it is that once I finish the short sleeves, it's finished. No other finishing required! Maybe that'll be by this weekend? Wishful thinking? :)
