Twylem

This is what I'm working on at the moment. A test knit from the very talented Vanessa from Knit Rhapsody. When I saw the design, I knew I really needed one. I somehow managed to get my hands on enough Tosh Vintage in Tern. I'm not sure how that happened. The Vintage is a dream to knit with. And luckily it stands up to quite a bit of frogging coz this pattern is kicking my butt! I think I've frogged parts of it at least 4 times. I think I'm on track finally. Though I thought that the last 3 times too. I can't wait to really get into the thick of things.

Darling Emma

Darling Emma, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

I realised the other day that this WIP has been hanging around for almost exactly a year. Well, a few days longer, to be honest. So I'm trying to stay monogomous until this lovely is complete. It's made with Madelinetosh TML in Tart. Love this colour!

Tempest

Tempest, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

I was in need of a plain black cardy. I decided on Tempest with no stripes made with Wollmeise Twin. I also decided to heavily modify it by knitting it completely in the round, steeking and set in short row sleeves. I can't imagine making this thing flat in pieces! I really like how it turned out. Though I will be changing the buttons. They look far too heavy for this lightweight cardy. But I'm claling it finished for now.

First day of prep

Did I mention I'm the mother of a school age child. How in the heck did that happen? This little creep started life in the NICU. Being born at 28wks gestation and 1.4kg, he lived at hospital for the first 2 months of his life. Seems like a lifetime ago now. Here he is off to school with his oversized school bag.

Another one to join the herd. This one is destined to become part of something like Ma Belle Amie. Noice!

Tosh, Plucky, Cascade, Malabrigo, Twisted Limone, Colinette, BWM and others

And just for full disclosure, here is all the other stuff I have. This is it. All of it. Well, besides stuff that's currently winging it's way to me. Some Numma Numma, Trailing Clouds and more TML. Really...does anyone NEED this much yarn???

All my Wollmeise glory!

All my Wollmeise glory!, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

My oldest has just toddled off to his first day of primary school leaving me at home with my gorgeous 2yr old. So much easier looking after one! So I decided to use this opportunity to take out all my stash and have a good look. This is all my Wollmeise. All fingering at the top, then the DK and then the lace. I just wanted to lie on top of it all. Come to think of it, if someone else was home, I would have and posted a pic of that! Instead, I sorted it and put it all back in the cupboard.
