I've only made him one other pair. He is a very good man and I'm very lucky to have him. These are made with my treasured Wollmeise in Resi colourway.
Then I saw this Waterkant pattern and thought "Yes!". And it worked out really well. It's worked on a similar principal as the Strandwanderer which I really enjoyed knitting.

Of course I had to change it to FLK which was a bit of a pain because the original pattern not only had gussets but was written for 4 DPNs! Anyway, I got it after a good nights sleep.
One down, one to go.
I thought I'd take my chances with the Neat Ripple again and try to make one myself. I haven't crocheted in a while but the baby will be here in about 5 weeks so I best get cracking!
So I thought I'd throw caution to the wind and give it a go. I wasn't sure how they would fit being 72st instead of my usual 64st. Also the colourwork didn't look very even prior to blocking. But low and behold...they turned out pretty good. I'm quite proud of them :)

When I first saw this pattern, I knew I had to make it. So I went rummaging through my stash and decided on Maus Jung, 47ag and Zarte Knospe Wollmeise DK. The pattern was very interesting with something going on all the time. And the details were amazing. I especially love the icord bind off. I decided to make the 37" for my post-pregnancy body but it fits even now. Granted it's more of a fitted cardigan now, but it'll be nice and oversize and comfy later!Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-12206781642958664612014-03-16T22:29:00.001-07:002014-03-16T22:29:36.971-07:00Boys quilts

, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

I promised the boys that I would make them some Dr Seuss quilts for summer.

And finally my Honeybee is finished. A size 42.5" (instead of my 37" usual self) to fit a pregnant me. The sleeves are a bit tight but not too tight. I should remember to go up a needle size for sleeves. I'm a notoriously tight sleeve knitter.

I love this. It's going to be great for when the weather cools down. The icord neckline was a tedious event but well worth it. The size is large enough not to distort the honeybees. This will be passed to my mum when I have the baby in May.

Oh and of course it was made out of Wollmeise in Petit Poison Nr 5 Medium.Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-28824865266473902332014-03-07T18:15:00.001-08:002014-03-07T18:17:01.861-08:00Spot Check

I saw these and HAD to make a pair. I wanted to get some sockweight cotton to make a pair of Comfort Slippers. These were too cheap to go past. Looky, I finished another thing. A pair of socks that I started last week. Just my usual recipe:

CO 64
15 rows twisted rib
1 row st st
4 row stripes
FLK heel
Kitchener toe

Maus Jung, 47ag and a red mini skein. All Wollmeise of course.
So I wanted to test drive this Milo pattern in fingering. I thought I'd try the 3yrs to aim for a newborn/3mth size. I think I did alright. Although my last baby was 10lb2oz. If this baby is the same, then he won't last long in it! Still, it's cute.Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-87098545829281880882013-12-14T22:53:00.001-08:002013-12-14T22:53:38.977-08:00Striiiiiipes

Since I had some leftover Blue Suzanne I decided to make these socks too. Just a simple top down construction using the FLK heel which has become my go to.Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-35571589515350576642013-12-14T22:51:00.001-08:002013-12-14T22:51:59.182-08:00Skew

I've been wanting to make Skew socks for zonks. Particularly because of the unusual construction. So I used a CDH skein of Blue Suzanne and they worked out great!Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-38561937618251060502013-12-14T22:44:00.001-08:002013-12-14T22:50:09.775-08:00Who me? This I've had in mind for a while. I think it turned out pretty well. They were finished before I found out I was preggers so the nausea hadn't set in yet.Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-70544123403770266152013-11-15T00:30:00.001-08:002013-11-15T00:30:13.883-08:00Surprise baby #3

Surprise baby #3, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

I've been very quiet of late. Sorry about that. But this is the reason. I've unexpectedly fallen pregnant! On top of trying to deal with the fact that I have to start all over again, I've been feeling like rubbish. This is the first time I've ever had morning sickness. None with my first 2. Well, I already have 2 boys and now I'm having a third! Yep, a house of all boys and me.
Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1764421442532235918.post-45626458137062585802013-11-11T16:22:00.000-08:002013-11-11T16:22:01.381-08:00ColourBlock pattern releaseI have finally gotten around to publishing my pattern! They also had a striking colourway called CMYK. I had to have one. I was lucky enough to score one in a recent update. These are my commute knitting.
Evelyn Jacksonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06162827215291348914noreply@blogger.com2
