Baby beanie

Baby beanie, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

Another tiny finish. I've been thinking about making a beanie for my 5.5mth old for this Melbourne winter. His poor bald head gets so cold! Unfortunately, this one turned out a newborn size. My baby is in the 75th percentile so there's NO WAY this is going to fit him. That's ok, lucky there's lots of preggy ladies around me at the moment.

Well, I've finally got a baby's name to put on one of my quilts. Welcome to the world, Cooper. I hope you like your new quilt!

Mini Wollmeise sorted and ready to ship

Finally...done!! It's taken a lot of time and effort to finalise this swap, but I enjoyed every minute of it. These are the final 3 groups. I hope everyone enjoys their mini skeins. I look forward to seeing all the new colourwork projects as they upload onto Ravelry.

Family

I'm not an "I'm in love with being a mum type" but I *love* my family. How could I not. Have a look how cute they are sitting on Kai's foam couch. Please excuse the washing in the background :)

Carnaby Skirt

Carnaby Skirt, originally uploaded by stitch-by-stitch.

This is what's on the sticks at the moment. Carnaby Skirt. It's a super easy pattern to memorise. Great for mindless knitting. I wasn't sure how the Cascade 220 Tweed would knit up, but I love it! It's not pilly at all and it's softer than I was expecting, but firm enough, I think, to hold it's shape. It's coming along very quickly.

Overflowing mini wollmeise

My progress so far. 77 out of 147 mini skeins of Wollmeise wound and ready to be shared. I put a baby bottle next to the bowl as a point of reference so you can really see how overflowing the bowl is. There are 11 full skeins of Wollmeise split and wound in that bowl. Love the gorgeous colours.

Mini skeins galore

I've lost count on how many I've made...let's go check...78 so far out of 147. I'm getting there. But I'm getting tired now. But it is a great project to do in front of the telly. If only a sewing machine could fit in front of the telly :) I'm still working on sewing down the appliques on my blocks before I can assemble them. Slow going.
